Eight Aspects of Introduction

Introduction is of great importance for every social role. If you are a transfer student, a good self introduction will help you make a good impression on the classmates; if you are an interviewee, a decent introduction will help you get the job; if you are meeting with a client, a brief but professional introduction will help you make the deal... Each type of introduction requires specific content and skills. In this article, Tannet puts forward the Eight Aspects of Introduction.

I. Introducing Yourself
It is publicly recognized that people quickly form strong opinions based on first impressions. And a well-crafted self-introduction is a critical part of making a good first impression. Then how to make a good self introduction when you are in a conference room with the client? Here, we take one of my colleague as an example.

Hello, Mr./Ms.     . Glad to meet you. I’m      , from Tannet China Expats Service Center and mainly responsible for the Chinese visa application matters for foreigners. I’ve been working at Tannet for about    years and have accumulated some experience in this field. This is my name card. If you have any questions about living, working or doing business in Shenzhen, feel free to contact me. My team and I are always at your service.

II. Introducing Supervisor (namely, manager, director, boss, etc)
Introducing a boss to a client calls for basic etiquette, whether you are making the introduction at a business meeting or during a more social event. When you introduce your boss to a client, say the name of the more important person first. In business, this is almost always the client. Say something along the lines of "Mr. Client, I'd like to introduce Mr. Boss, my manager. Mr. Boss, this is Mr. Client, our new client." It doesn't matter if the client is younger than your boss or if your boss is a woman or a man, always introduce the client first. Please refer to the following example.

Hello, Mr./Ms.     . Glad to meet you. I’m       , from Tannet China Expats Service Center. This is our  manager’s name card, Mr./Ms.     . Mr./Ms.      has been working in Tannet for about 10 years who has rich experience in providing SMEs with feasible solutions. For basic business setup services, you may contact directly; for high-end professional services like brand marketing, you may contact my manager.

III. Introducing Business
If someone asks you what you do, how do you respond? You only have seconds to get people to care about you and your business. It’s really no different when people land on your website or read one of your brochures or emails. The best introductions are natural, repeatable, and targeted. Make every word count and give your audience something that will stick with them. An Example is shown below.

Tannet has developed its business model in 3 areas, business servicing, value investment and O2O networking. The business service can be further divided into 4 international business machines (IBM), namely, business incubator, business operator, management propeller and business accelerator. The business incubator offers start-up and follow-up business services, such as such as corporate formation and visa application, which is suitable for you.

IV. Introducing Department
By definition, the department refers to a division of a business enterprise dealing with a particular area of activity. By introducing the department, we can enhance the breadth and width of business. When we introduce a department to a client, we should know how to introduce the department according to the most needed business of the client. An Example is shown below.

Tannet China Expats Service Center is the 5th department of Tannet, which is designed for overseas investors and expats in China to familiar themselves with China’s investment environment. It is also a member of Citilink Industrial Alliance. Being equipped with professional business consultants and investment advisors, the center is committed to creating a one-stop service platform for global investors.

V. Introducing Company
Introducing your company to the potential clients is an important strategy for growing your business. To gain recognition and acceptance from new clients, you have to do a good introduction of your company and your people, as well as your business.

Tannet Group Limited was established by Mr. Carlson Chan in Hong Kong in 1999. VI. Introducing Platform
What is a platform? In construction, a platform is something that lifts you up and on which others can stand. The same is true in business. By building a digital platform, other businesses can easily connect their business with yours, build products and services on top of it, and co-create value.

Simply speaking, Tannet is a service platform for the client, a resources exchange platform for suppliers and demanders, a development platform for startups, and a growth platform for staff. Tannet has developed its business model in 3 areas, business servicing, value investment and O2O networking. The business servicing can be further divided into 4 international business machines (IBM), namely, business incubator, business operator, management propeller and business accelerator.

VII. Introducing City
An entrepreneur has many concerns: funding, staffing, developing a marketing strategy and ensuring that they have a viable product or service. Before beginning the process of starting a business, however, there is one important decision that must be made: where to start the business. A variety of features will affect what makes a location suitable or not suitable for a business, and the wise entrepreneur will examine those features carefully before deciding to move forward with a venture. Take Shenzhen as an example.

Shenzhen is a major city in Guangdong Province, China. It is located within the Pearl River Delta, bordering Hong Kong to the south, Huizhou to the north and northeast, Dongguan to the north and northwest. Shenzhen was one of the first batch of Special Economic Zones. Now it has developed into one of the largest cities in the Pearl River Delta region, an economic hub of China, as well as the largest manufacturing base in the world. The population structure there has great diversity, ranging from intellectuals with a high level of education to migrant workers with poor education.

VIII. Introducing Country
A country is a region that is identified as a distinct national entity in political geography. An enterprise is one kind of social economic organization in a country. The advantages of a country can bring an advantage of an enterprise. Being a citizen, you should be familiar with your country and understand the national conditions. You need to have a sense of honor and sense of pride when introducing it to a different culture. Take China as an example.

China has the world's oldest continuous civilization. It is a unitary sovereign state in East Asia and the world's most populous country, with a population of around 1.404 billion. Covering approximately 9,600,000 square kilometers, it is the third- or fourth-largest country by total area. Since the introduction of economic reforms in 1978, China's economy has been one of the world's fastest-growing. It is also the world's largest exporter and second-largest importer of goods. To attract foreign investment, Chinese government has launched a number of preferential policies. In the future, it is no doubted that the country will continue to open up and better the business environment.
